- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons crushed pineapple in juice, drained
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce or dark miso paste (optional)
- one pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup water
1. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, pineapple juice, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and sugar until well combined.
2. Transfer to a large saucepan and stir in soy sauce if using.
